The Inca were polytheistic which means they believed in many gods and by a many I mean a lot. Too many too count. Literally. No one actually knows how many gods the Inca had. Since there were so many I will just list the most important.
1. Inti- Inti was the god of the sun and believed to be the Inca's ancestor. He was by far the Incas most important god. In fact Inca translates to child of the sun. Apparently when he sweats it makes gold. Must have hurt during storms
2.Con-Tici Viracocha- The Inca's creator god. It created Inti out of the water and foam of Lake Titicaca. After finishing his job of creating the universe good ol' Viracocha left across the sea promising to come back. Of course, he never did.
3.Mama Quilla- Mama Quilla is the goddess of the moon, marriage, and the protector of women.
